Custom URL parameters allow you to track analytics on specific URLs sent out to your social network profiles. This will allow you to track which specific profiles drive the most traffic to your website, and which conversation is a direct result of your engagement.

  1. Paste your website's URL where you would normally shrink your link.
  2. Click on the pulldown image beside Ow.ly.  A Link Shortener box will appear, click on "Custom URL parameters".

       3. Under Add Custom URL Parameter you can select or create a preset

       4. Google Analytics is already included as a preset, so if you want to use it, select Google Analytics

       5. Enter in the value for each parameter. When you are finished, click Done
